Bio
I am a biomedical engineer and a patent specialist. I hold a master’s degree in medical engineering and medical physics from Riga Technical University, and I have over two decades experience working as a patent examiner in the field of medical technology at the European Patent Office.
My primary interests lie in biomedical engineering, with a particular focus on medical devices, and biomedical instrumentation and sensors. Moreover, my further interests revolve broadly around intellectual property protection in the medical device industry.
In my spare time, I pursue various personal research and development projects, and explore the history and technology and innovation. When I am not doing all the above, I enjoy trail running and outdoor adventures.
